Writing clearly is my favorite way of getting value out of the constant flow of stuff through my attention.
I expose myself to large quantities of selected media every day in areas of art and science, history and culture, technology and spirituality.
I make connections, have sudden insights. If I don’t refine these new developments, they stay vague and slip away.
If I try to turn vague insights into something for publication, I am forced to see if I can really make a contribution to the conversation and if I can, to state it in plain words with no embellishment.
If the conversation is about a topic where I have some credibility or ‘standing,’ a platform like Medium works well for me. I am a ‘Top Writer’ in Virtual Reality and people Follow me because they are interested in that conversation.
When I write about Quantum Entanglement on Medium, no one reads it because I have no standing.
